Carole Mason

I immigrated from Ireland to Calgary, Alberta in 1976 as a young child with my family. I completed a Diploma in Environmental Sciences from Lethbridge College, a Bachelor of Science Degree from Athabasca University, and a Master of Leadership and Community Engagement program at York University. I have worked with students in the Athabasca University community since 1997 and have been instrumental in implementing the RAIC Centre for Architecture policies and procedures, which have removed barriers for a wide range of diverse students seeking to become licensed architects throughout Canada and around the globe. I am also a member of the university’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Champion Network and have a strong passion for implementing social justice policies throughout the educational sector.
