Overview
The primary job duties for the field research assistant 1 (AUPE; R-5) will include implementing a records management plan detailed in a consultancy report prepared for the Decameron Collective, a research-creation group. The Records Management Assistant will categorize and organize digital files according to the functional areas of work undertaken by the Collective.
Specific activities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the execution of a structured records management plan designed for the research-creation team. This includes categorizing and organizing various types of digital files.
- Documenting and communicating all stages of progress through the implementation of the records management plan.
- Participating in evaluating the effectiveness of the records management implementation process
The successful candidate will work with, and directly report to, Dr. Jolene Armstrong at Athabasca University. Dr. Armstrong will provide adequate training for the records management planning and implementation that will be required.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be responsible, attentive to deadlines, and clear and timely in communications
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Computer skills are expected, including internet research, email, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Drive
- Interest or experience working in research-creation or collaborative art projects is considered an asset.

The position is based in Edmonton, Alberta, but the work will be carried out remotely.
